A meetup only counts at a place we have personally verified. So I have been walking into cafés and pizza places across the centre with a slightly strange pitch: would you host strangers meeting each other for the first time?

The answer, more often than not, has been yes. Owners get it immediately — a quiet table, a warm welcome, maybe an extra slice. When our testers meet there, the venue recognises them.
