How Table42 works

A shared interest.
An actual plan.

The point is the time you spend together. Here’s how Table42 helps you get there, from your first invitation to saying hello.

Once you’re accepted

Less arranging.
More being there.

Your profile must be complete and your city open before you can meet people. Until then, you can prepare your account.

  1. 01

    Find some common ground.

Profiles show people’s interests and a little about who they are. Take a look and see who you’d enjoy getting to know.

  2. 02

    Give your invitation a shape.

Choose coffee, lunch, a bite or an activity. Suggest up to two listed venues and three time slots. The other person picks what works for them.

  3. 03

Meet at the place you agreed.

You know where, when and who. Meetups start between 07:00 and 20:00. An agreed meetup is not a table reservation; food, drinks and activity costs are separate.

  4. 04

    Check in. Then look up.

You each scan the venue’s check-in code. For a conversation starter, choose an icebreaker together and ask it out loud. The check-in connects a meetup to a place and a day; it is not a safety guarantee.

At your own pace

You can always say no.

You choose which invitations to accept. You can leave a meetup if you feel uncomfortable, and blocking and reporting are available in the product. Personal review is not identity verification, and a listed venue is not a guarantee of safety.
